Lexus introduces new F Sport trim level to the 2019 Lexus ES 350 Sedan line
For 2019, the venerable Lexus ES sedan line gets its first F Sport model. Taking updated performance and styling cues from the GSF, RCF and LC performance cars, the ES 350 F Sport offers a much sportier version of their popular ES series of front-wheel drive sedans.

2019 Lexus ES 350 F Sport
Lexus sent us a pre-production ES 350 F Sport in late July for us to evaluate. Though not available in dealerships before September, it is obviously well anticipated, being immediately noticed by a number of Lexus drivers in our community who were very interested in taking a look.
Our test ES 350 F Sport came in the new Ultra White exterior crisply complimented by dark accents on selected exterior trim features – including a revised grille with a new meshed pattern of interlocking Gloss Black “L”s, front fascia cut-outs, rear spoiler, lower valance, rear taillights and F Sport badging.
Finishing the F Sport exterior were handsome 19-inch Split-Spoke Wheels in a dark premium graphite coating.

New Powertrain adds Performance
The new ES 350 F Sport looks good, but drives even better, just like we expected from an F Sport.
The ES 350 F Sport is powered by an updated 3.5L V6 engine with D-4S fuel injection. Sporting a redline increase from 6,200 to 6,600 rpm, it now delivers 302 horsepower and 267 lb.-ft. of torque – an increase of 34 hp and 19 lb.-ft. from the prior version.
Mated to a newly developed 8-speed Direct Shift Automatic Transmission that replaces the earlier 6-speed, it offers a wider range of gearing managed by a new AI (Artificial Intelligence) system. The AI amplifies the added horsepower and torque as it adjusts shift points continuously for optimal performance.

The F Sport ride is further enhanced by the Lexus Drive Mode Select system (DMS). The driver-selectable driving modes include Eco, Normal and Sport. In cars equipped with the Adaptable Variable Suspension (like our F Sport), the Sport mode is replaced with performance-tuned Sport S and Sport S+ and an added Custom setting.

The 2019 Lexus ES 350 starts at MSRP $39,500.
The fuel-efficient ES 300h Hybrid will have an MSRP of $41,310 and is said to deliver 43/45 mpg city/highway with 44 mpg combined.
Delivery, processing and handling is $1,025 for all ES models.

As of this writing, the consumer website for the 2019 ES line of vehicles is not live. We know that they started coming off the production line at Georgetown, KY the first week of August.
Your local dealer should have cars on their lots by early September.
The 2019 ES 350 will be very good for sure. We say the ES 350 F Sport will be better.
