Bronco and the Bronco  Nation are arriving this Summer.

Bronco is back! Not just a ‘Built Wild’ Bronco vehicle, but seven of them in two configurations plus a Sport version and a Bronco community to go with.

Building a brand from day one, the launch of Bronco brand also includes a community of owner groups, professional driving school programs and events and even merchandise from Amazon to get new Bronco owners fully engaged.

Built Wild Brand

The all-new Bronco brand will be the only domestic brand of SUVs with 4×4 standard. The seven trim levels come in both two door and four-door models. Plus there is Bronco Sport, an all-new rugged, small SUV.

For the all-new Bronco models to be superior off-road vehicles, all have been designed and built to deliver on the brand’s three Built Wild principles:

Built Wild Extreme Durability Testing – These elevated Bronco torture tests ensure toughness across thousands of lab, proving ground and real-world extreme challenges in the toughest and harshest climates

Built Wild Capability – Confidence to go over any-type of terrain (G.O.A.T.), provided by standard 4×4 and an exclusive terrain management system, plus unique Bronco-variant architectures with class-leading levels of capability and suspension technology.

Built Wild Innovative Design – Broncos are the future of off-roading and deliver off-road ingenuity, new design innovations coupled with heritage-inspired DNA, plus new-levels of personalization that can flatter the novice and challenge the expert adventure seeker

Build Your Own

We got a look at the Ford Bronco ordering book today.

Indeed, novice or off-road veteran, you will be able to build one that fits your world and more.

There are seven trim levels to choose from including a special launch First Edition. Standard trim levels include a Base plus Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands and Wildtrak.  Based on our experience, each trim relates to distinct capability and features.

Black Diamond – we think – suggests a serious rock crawler that might make short work of the rocky terrain in and around the coal mines at Black Diamond, Washington.

There appear to be 15 colors available to choose from. Some interesting ones are Antimatter Blue, Area 51, Carbonized Gray and three without names (whatever that means).  Plus, several graphics packages to choose from.

All trim levels are available in two and four door configurations with hard tops, soft tops, modular/partial tops and multiple combinations to choose from.

Seven options packages – from Towing Capability to Sasquatch (can’t wait to see what is in that) are available.

There are two EcoBoost engines – a 2.3L and 2.7L with two transmission choices – a 7-speed manual and 10-speed SelectShift automatic.  Two 4×4 drive systems are available – 4×4 w/Part Time Selectable Engagement or Advance 4×4 w/Automatic On-Demand Engagement. There are four rear axle selections and there is a Front Stabilizer Disconnect feature.

Three wheel sizes 16-, 17- and 18-inch wheels feature nine different designs and finishes. All can be mounted with multiple size all-terrain or all-season tires.

Infotainment and technology choices include Ford Sync4, 8- and 12-inch Capacitive Touchscreens, Voice Activated Touchscreen Navigation w/Pinch to Zoom Capability, SirusXM with 360L and an optional B&O audio system with 10-speakers and a subwoofer.

Accessories Galore

Ford is said to be providing near 200 accessory items for your new Bronco to reflect your adventuring style.

There are all of the usual suspects plus a few more including heavy duty bumpers, brush guards, Bash Plate, side rails and side steps, winches, roof rails and cross bars, Rock Rails, splash guards, floor liners, Off-Road Recovery Kit, Off-Road /Track Air Compressor Kit and even a portable Fridge/Freezer.

All real Bronco adventures need the right tools to haul all their adventuring toys to the seashore, mountains, lakes and rivers.  Bronco has that covered too.  The list includes, watersports roof carriers, roof mounted cargo boxes, light bars in several sizes, Off-Road Underbody Light Kit, Snow Sport Racks (hitch and roof), hitch extender, bicycle carriers (roof and hitch) and even a two-person tent.

How Much?

Of course, detail on trim level pricing, performance specs, package and option combination are still to come.

As soon as more of the information is available, your inwheeltime.com team will share it with you.
