2019 Ford F-150 Limited SuperCrew – Top shelf refined capability bar none

Hanging out with us near the Hills Country Club in The Hills, Texas recently was a knock-out handsome 2019 Ford F-150 Limited SuperCrew 4×2 pickup.

Locals were heard to say that our Ruby Red Metallic Clear Coat pickup was a serious ‘Sunday go to meeting’ vehicle.  With its color, stylish chrome accents and Power Deployable Running Boards outside and Camelback with wood accent luxury inside, it did give you that ‘feel’.

But, as we found out, this baby could both play and work with nearly the best of them (except maybe a Raptor) – every day of the week, including Sunday.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https://ticket-1994427.inwheeltime.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/20190127_120711.jpg” align=”center” align_tablet=”center” align_last_edited=”on|desktop” _builder_version=”3.23″ animation_style=”fade”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.27.4″ text_font_size=”20px”]

Setting the stage, please note our test F-150 SuperCrew Limited was the top-of-the-line full-size pickup from Ford. It has a MSRP $67,135.  With a short list of options plus delivery, the sticker price was $71,150.

Whoa you say, that’s a lot of money.  To which we answer – this 2019 Ford F-150 Limited SuperCrew 4×2 is a whole lot of truck.  Let’s take a look.

Get Up and Go

Our Limited 4×2 was powered by the High Output 3.5L EcoBoost V6 (formerly Raptor only) engine producing 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. Equipped with Auto Start/Stop, It was mated to the F-150 tuned 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with Tow/Haul, Snow/Wet, EcoSelect and Sport modes.

The fuel economy rating was 17/22 mpg city/highway and 19 mpg combined.  Equipped with the 36-gallon fuel tank, our F-150 Limited had a highway range of over 650 miles.

Underneath, our Limited was equipped with an independent double wishbone and coilover shock front suspension and leaf spring with solid axle rear – both fitted with heavy-duty gas pressurize shock absorbers. Steering was electric power assisted with brakes power antilock vented disc front and rear.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https://ticket-1994427.inwheeltime.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/20190127_122642.jpg” alt=”2019 Ford F-150″ title_text=”2019 Ford F-150″ align=”center” align_tablet=”center” align_last_edited=”on|desktop” _builder_version=”3.23″ animation_style=”fade”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.27.4″ text_font_size=”20px”]

Wheels were 22-inch polished aluminum and mounted with P275/45 R22 all-season tires that ran exceptionally smooth and quiet.

Our F150 Limited 4×2 was a seriously quick and fast machine both around town and on the highway.  For those who know how dangerous RM 620 has become locally – this powertrain and running gear blasted us safely from blind intersections onto that highway – running away from oncoming traffic nearly as ably as a Bullitt Mustang.
